Your book already has a voice. We help the world hear it.

At Voice Over Soho, audiobooks are more than long recordings. They are performances. We bring together expert engineers, experienced directors and world-class voice talent to turn manuscripts into immersive listening experiences.
From first casting conversation to final master, we handle every part of the process so you can focus on the story.

End-to-End Audiobook Production

Every audiobook needs consistency, clarity and character. We provide a full production pipeline designed specifically for long-form storytelling:
Script preparation and pickup notes

Whether you are an independent author, a major publisher or a brand creating long-form audio, we deliver polished, platform-ready masters.

Casting: Find the Right Voice for Your Story

The right narrator transforms a good book into a great listen.

Through our close partnership with Soho Voices and Little Soho Voices, you have access to an exceptional pool of talent:

We work with you to understand tone, pace and character, then shortlist voices that match your brief. From there, we can organise test reads, casting sessions and full-day bookings — all under one roof.

Studios Built for Long-Form Recording

Audiobook sessions demand comfort, consistency and focus. Our studios in Soho and Fitzrovia are designed with all three in mind.

From intimate memoirs to multi-voice epics, we create an environment where narrators can settle in and do their best work.

Audiobooks for Every Kind of Story

We produce audiobooks across genres and formats, including:

If it can be read, it can be performed. And if it can be performed, we can capture it.

How Our Audiobook Process Works

We keep the process clear, collaborative and efficient.

  1. Brief & planning
We start with your manuscript, timelines, platforms and any creative references. Together, we map out schedule, studio time and deliverables.
  2. Casting & script prep
We advise on voice profiles, share demo options and arrange casting if needed. In parallel, we prepare the script for the studio, including any pronunciation guides and character notes.
  3. Recording sessions
Your narrator records in one of our Soho or Fitzrovia studios, or remotely with our team engineering the session. You are welcome to attend in person or join online.
  4. Editing & proofing
Our editors shape the raw audio into a smooth, engaging listen — removing unwanted noise, tightening pacing and ensuring consistency. Proofers check every chapter against the text to catch any errors or pickups.
  5. Mixing, mastering & QC
We balance levels, apply subtle processing and ensure the audiobook meets technical standards for leading platforms. Final quality checks confirm that every chapter is ready to release.
  6. Delivery
You receive masters in the formats you need, ready to send to your chosen distributor or platform.
